Privacy Policy
The short version: our apps process your content on your device. We do not upload, store, or have any access to your documents, photos, or the information inside them.
This policy covers the apps published by Logikal Mayhem ("we", "us"), including Redact Zero. It explains what our apps do and do not collect.
Your documents never leave your device
In Redact Zero, all scanning, detection of sensitive information, and redaction happen entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, store, or have any access to your documents, photos, scans, or the information detected within them. Redacted documents you save in the app's History are stored only on your device and can be deleted by you at any time (Settings → Clear All History, or swipe to delete).
Permissions we request
- Camera — only to scan documents you choose to scan. Images stay on your device.
- Photo Library — only to import documents you choose to import, and to save redacted documents back to your library if you ask. We do not read your library otherwise.
Purchases
If you buy a subscription or a lifetime upgrade, the transaction is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. For this purpose, RevenueCat receives your purchase and subscription information and an app-generated identifier (and a device identifier). This data is used solely to provide and restore your purchases — it is not used to track you, and it is not linked by us to your name or contact information.

What we do not do
- We do not collect or transmit your document content, photos, or camera data.
- We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs that track you.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Documents and redacted results live only on your device. Deleting them in the app, or deleting the app, removes them. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting requirements.
Children
Redact Zero is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
